I still can’t believe it. Fabulous50s YouTube Channel has officially reached 2 million subscribers. This milestone means more than words can say. I started this channel with one camera, one idea, and one hope, which is to help women over 50 feel strong, beautiful, and alive again.
To celebrate, I sat down with my family, my three sons, Nathan, Luke, and Zach, and my beautiful daughter-in-law, Andressa. We laughed, teased each other, and answered your questions about health, aging, fitness, and life.
It was the perfect way to mark how far we’ve all come.
How Fabulous50s Began: From Empty Nest to Empowerment

When the boys left home in 2017, I felt lost. My days suddenly became quiet. I cried more than I’d like to admit. For years, my identity was “Mum.” When that shifted, I had to find myself again. Instead of letting sadness consume me, I created Fabulous50s as a space to connect with women who felt the same.
At first, my family wasn’t sure what I was doing. But as the community grew, they saw the passion behind it. What started as a way to heal from an empty nest became a movement that celebrates strength, aging with purpose, and rediscovering joy.
My Osteoporosis Diagnosis and Why I Created Bone-Strength Workouts
One of the biggest questions I received was about osteoporosis workouts. Yes, I’ve been diagnosed with osteoporosis and it shocked me. I never thought it would happen to me. The truth is, it’s invisible until you get tested.
Instead of fear, I chose action. I researched, studied, and designed specific workouts to help rebuild bone strength safely. These sessions focus on resistance training, balance, and gentle impact, which are all tailored for women like us.
I’m sharing my own reversal journey so you can join me in building stronger bones and a more resilient body.
Aging Well: My Simple Anti-Aging Routine

I used to have a complex skincare routine with endless products. Now, I believe aging beautifully starts from within. My focus is on what I eat, how I move, and how I breathe.
I use a prescription retinoid (0.25%) and castor oil for my skin, plus gentle at-home peels to keep it fresh and glowing. But the real magic happens through nutritious food, regular workouts, and daily breathwork.
Healthy cells are the foundation of youthful skin.
Food Noise, Cravings, and Finding Balance
So many women asked about food cravings and constant thoughts about eating. I get it. I’ve been there. The first step is to find your “why.” Mine is simple: I want to age well, stay independent, and feel free in my body.
Protein is my secret weapon. It reduces hunger and keeps my muscles strong. Aim for 100 grams a day if your doctor agrees. Remember, muscle is youth. Without it, we lose strength, energy, and mobility.
Eat for your future self.
Can You Lose Weight Walking 5,000 Steps a Day?
Yes. Absolutely. One of our community members, Jenny, asked if she could lose weight doing 5,000 steps daily at age 67 and the answer is yes.
Walking increases circulation, oxygenates your cells, and improves mobility.
If you’re just starting out, 5,000 steps is a brilliant goal. Add a light weighted vest or even a small backpack once or twice a week to build bone density and strength.
Consistency matters more than intensity. Every step counts toward longevity.
Using Brain Training to Sharpen the Mind While Moving the Body

Brain fog is real. To help women stay sharp, I’ve included brain training exercises in the app. These workouts combine movement with memory recall, like throwing a ball while naming words from A to Z. It challenges your mind and body at once.
It’s fun, stimulating, and powerful for long-term brain health. The more we use different parts of the brain, the stronger it becomes.
You’ll see small improvements in focus, clarity, and mental energy within weeks.
My Go-To Supplements for Brain and Bone Health

I keep my supplements simple. Every day, I take omega-3 fatty acids, creatine, magnesium, and vitamin D3 with K2.
They support brain and bone health, especially during midlife. Always check with your doctor before adding anything new.
Your body’s needs are unique, and balance is key.
The VitaliT App: A New Chapter in Our Journey

After reaching 2 million subscribers, I wanted to create something deeper. For 18 months, I’ve been developing the VitaliT App, a daily wellness hub combining workouts, nutrition, meditation, and brain training.

My dream is to make healthy living effortless for every woman over 40, 50, 60, and beyond.
The Fabulous50s Family Moment: Laughter, Love, and Real Life
Of course, our celebration wouldn’t be complete without laughter. My sons teased me about my texting habits and tech skills and they’re not wrong! But they also shared how proud they are of my Fabulous50s community.
We’ve grown together through every video, every workout, every conversation. That’s what makes Fabulous50s so special. It’s not just a channel. It’s a family.
