Frequently Asked Questions

Schellea Fowler is a certified fitness instructor, personal trainer, and human performance coach who specialises in exercise, longevity, menopause, and brain health in women over 50. She is the founder of Fabulous50s and the creator of the VitaliT app.
Fabulous50s is a fitness and lifestyle platform for women over 50 that offers easy-to-follow, science-aware workouts, healthy recipes, and lifestyle tips. The aim is to help women stay active, confident, and full of energy in a way that feels kind and realistic.
Fabulous50s programs are designed to improve strength, balance, flexibility, and confidence without high-impact moves. They use light weights, bodyweight, and gentle cardio so you can follow along at home, even if you are a beginner or restarting after a long break.

Most guidelines recommend a mix of cardio, strength, and balance work for adults, including older adults.
Fabulous50s workouts combine these elements into short sessions:

  • Cardio (such as indoor walking)
  • Strength training for all major muscles
  • Core and posture work
  • Balance and mobility exercises
Midlife belly fat is affected by hormones, stress, sleep, and diet. Workouts that combine low-impact cardio and strength training, especially for the core and larger muscle groups, can help support a healthy weight and waistline as part of a wider lifestyle approach. Fabulous50s offers specific belly-fat-focused routines for women over 50 to support this goal.
Yes. Fabulous50s offers challenges and programs that focus on gentle movement, balanced nutrition, and nervous system calm for women in perimenopause and menopause. These plans are designed to reduce stress, support mood, and help you move comfortably while hormones are shifting.
Schellea Fowler (Shelly) is in her late fifties and lives what she teaches: that strength, health, and joy can grow in midlife and beyond.
Schellea encourages women to focus on:
  • Moving daily (even in short bursts)
  • Eating in a way that supports energy and blood sugar balance
  • Drinking enough water
  • Protecting sleep and nervous system calm
  • Staying socially connected and curious about life
These habits are in line with healthy aging advice from major health organisations, which highlight regular physical activity, a nutritious diet, and social engagement as key pillars of well-being in later life.
