After months of planning, adjusting, and dreaming, my filming studio is finally ready. When you step inside, it feels like you’re starting a new chapter.
It’s still a work in progress, but the heart of the space is alive, and I’m excited to bring you behind the scenes with a full studio tour so you can see where every workout, tutorial, and heartfelt chat will be created from now on.
The fact that it started out so small is what makes this change so special. The studio used to be an old shed that was rusty on the outside and not very fancy. It still looks like an old building from the driveway, but as soon as you open the door, the whole place changes.
With soft lighting, a cosy lounge, and a separate area for makeup, planning, and creativity, the inside has become a warm, useful place to film.
A Full Studio Tour Behind the Scenes
This Space is Designed for Filming
The main filming area is the most important part of this studio tour. I set up two cameras, professional lighting, and monitors so I can see how I’m framing my shots no matter how much I move during workouts.
The lighting is set up so that the room stays bright all the time, whether I’m shooting in the morning or at night. For now, the walls are still plain and clean. The plain background makes the videos feel calm and keeps the focus on you and the workout.
The room looks clean and new, but the journey isn’t over yet. The sound bounces around more than I’d like because the structure is still part shed at heart. That’s why rugs and acoustic panels are next on my list. They’ll make the echo less sharp and improve the sound quality to match the video quality.
Every piece has a purpose. With each change, the studio gets closer to the space I had in mind.

Staying Organized While Filming

This studio tour will show you how I keep track of the order, timing, and flow of my workouts while I’m filming. I draw out every exercise on a big board on one wall before I record it.
I write down each routine on paper, cross out and change things until I’m happy with them, and then I put everything on the board so that everything is clear while the cameras are rolling.
I also use a timer that tells me when to work out for 45 seconds and when to rest for 15 seconds. You won’t hear it in the videos, but it’s always there, quietly keeping the pace in the background.

The Little Things That Make the Space Feel Like Home
A studio should feel personal, and this one definitely does. There is a handwoven banana-leaf rug in the middle of the floor. It is natural, long-lasting, and easy to clean. It makes the room feel warmer and stays in place well while I’m moving around. There is a non-slip pad underneath to keep everything steady during hard workouts.
There’s also a comfortable bed in the corner. Buddy owns it and comes by often to check on the filming or say hi to surprise guests like Molly, his favourite furry friend who shows up outside the studio whenever she knows he’s inside. Their little moments really bring the space to life.
The room also has the less exciting but important parts of filming, like chargers, cables, tripods, backups, and a Starlink setup that still needs some work. It’s all part of making a studio that works well and can handle long days of filming without a hitch.
